OVERVIEW
Over three Job Order Contracts, Gryphon managed more than one hundred individual job orders across New York City's wastewater treatment plants and pump stations. The work ranged from structural reconstruction and mechanical systems to sitework and specialty installations — nearly all of it performed at active, operational facilities, requiring careful phasing to keep critical infrastructure running throughout construction.
TYPES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Mechanical, electrical & controls
Pump station upgrades, pump controller and telemetering system modifications, and methane abatement and odor-control systems at treatment plants.
Sitework, concrete & paving
Concrete pads and curbs, trench drains, retaining walls, asphalt repaving, drainage, truck scale replacement, and pothole repair across multiple facilities.
Building & interior reconstruction
Reconstruction of kitchens, locker rooms, and bathrooms across multiple plants, plus roof replacement and temporary facility build-outs with full MEP.
Structural, security & specialty metals
Stainless-steel doors and staircases, cast-iron covers, manholes, tide gates, waterfront security upgrades, and shoreline infrastructure.
